Cornerstone is our core suite of biometric systems - comprising robust modular solutions that are geared towards reducing risk, while improving efficiency and information management in both private and public environments.

Intergated or standalone, Cornerstone can assist organisations in the areas of time capture, access control, visitor management and asset management.

Cornerstone and all associated modules also integrate with our key management solution, known as CornerSafe. When used together with Access Control, CornerSafe can vastly improve on-site security - preventing critical or valuable assets from being taken off site or removed from secure areas. If and when any attempts are made, security personnel are alerted in time to intercept.

We also work closely with our partner, IWS, to deliver a sophisticated law enforcement solution that ensures better storing and retrieval of criminal data through facial recognition technology. Law Enforcement is delivered separately to the Cornerstone solutions suite, however integration is available as required.

Many organisations require additional staff to manage manual records, for example when registering site visitors, or compiling records for reports. Argus offers complete identification and information management solutions, ensuring that as and when people are biometrically identified, records are automatically updated. Saving hours in manual processing and preventing mistakes that can result from human error.

And with extensive reports available from each solution, administrators have greater visibility of people’s actions and whereabouts at all times.

The solutions’ remote capabilities mean they can be used across sites, with all updates viewed in 'Near Real Time' and with a typical time delay of only 60 seconds. So you can always rely on the quality of your data.

Advanced biometric technology for even the most complex environment

The underlying architecture that supports Cornerstone and CornerSafe is an enrolment and recognition solution known as the ‘True Identity Biometric Integration Service’, or TIBIS. Through TIBIS all personnel are registered via a biometric device e.g. iris camera or fingerprint scanner. It is from TIBIS that templates are created and then matched to individuals each time they engage with a biometric device.

TIBIS uses flexible technology that allows all Cornerstone solutions to function with any biometric device. That means it is essentially ‘multi-biometric’, incorporating numerous biometric functions, according to user requirements. This is particularly useful in scenarios where more than one biometric device is required for dual authentication purposes.

The flexibility of TIBIS means that it is ideal for more challenging environments, such as government agencies or defence where IT infrastructures are typically larger and more complex.

Using this same design philosophy we have developed an application server known as AKITA™. The server supports the Cornerstone application by reconciling not only multiple biometric technologies, but also multiple third party applications, multiple sites and unlimited databases.

With no need to update or replace the current infrastructure, organisations enjoy smoother and less costly implementations, stand to reinforce existing security strategies and safeguard against future changes in technology. 3rd party integration also ensures better quality of information, as data re-entry is no longer required.
