Enhance site security with biometrically-controlled visitor management
Cornerstone Visitor Management is relied on by hundreds of institutions today for improved control and visibility of visitor movement. Tighter security with biometrics
The biological entities used for biometrics are unique, reducing the possibility of mistaken identity. And as biometrics cannot be faked or stolen, organisations can rest assured that the right people are identified every time. With Visitor Management, visitors are enrolled only once - typically with an iris camera, fingerprint reader or by facial recognition - after which they are biometrically identified whenever they arrive on site. This saves on the time that would usually be spent on registration. For corrections, biometrics is invaluable in preventing access by banned individuals who try to access the site under a new name. For example, blacklists can be created to alert security officers if listed individuals attempt unauthorised access. Easy to control and useUsing a kiosk-based, touch-screen interface, known as VIOSK, site administrators can quickly and easily move people through the facility; reducing the bottlenecks associated with lengthy signing in and signing out processes. Visitors can even self-enrol and print their own day passes, further reducing the pressure on resources. Better control of person movementThe system employs a series of logical gates that dictate the direction that a person can move in. Each time a person arrives at a gate they are identified using a biometric device and the system is automatically updated to show where they are. Should a person fail to reach the next gate in time, relevant personnel are notified to take action as appropriate. Improved visibility of visitor whereabouts
Visitor Management comes complete with standard reports that allow site administrators to view visitor comings and goings at any time. Information is available at the touch of a button and in real time, to offer an accurate, up-to-date view of visitor activity. |
