Use cost-effective and scalable door control technology to improve site securityFor the first time in Australia*, organisations can benefit from IP-based door control technology. The card-based Ethernet-enabled Integrated Door Controller or eIDC, from Infinias, is an easy-to-install door controller that is both powerful and simple to use. From 1 to 1000s of doors eIDC is eminently scalableCentrally managed access control systems can be vast and complex, requiring both workstations and separate servers to link back to the door controller – usually to accommodate doors beyond immediate requirements. eIDC has an embedded web server that allows each door to be managed by a discreet entity, so you needn’t purchase systems larger than your needs. In standalone mode the eIDC has a capacity for 8,000 card holders per door, increasing to 64,000 in managed mode. That means additional personnel won’t slow it down. Whether one door or thousands, eIDC caters for organisations of all sizes. There’s no minimum or maximum door capacity and additional doors can be added as and when you need them. Cutting the costs of traditional access control systems
Traditional access control systems usually require a dedicated installation with specific cabling and infrastructure. eIDC is IP-based, so it can be installed over existing networks - preventing unnecessary costs. Organisations typically save between $300 and $400 per door. Better door control in next to no time
Just install one controller per door, connect it to the network, configure it and it’s ready to use. Tamper-proof
Any good access control system will alert you to attempted interference. An infrared tamper detector on the controller reflects off the back of the cover plate, raising an alarm if the cover plate is removed. Full event history
To stay on top of who’s been where and when, eIDC keeps a record of each ‘event’ i.e. each time a person is granted access. A rolling event buffer of 16,000 events means that even if connection with the server is lost, information is stored locally and then communicated to the server when it’s back up. The controller’s other features include:
Who uses it?
eIDC is suitable for any organisation that requires better door control in a medium to low risk setting, such as hospitals and manufacturing sites.
